The St John Passion is an iconic musical retelling of the Easter story, featuring Bach’s vocal and instrumental writing at its most dramatic and poignant.

A Viennese New Year by Candlelight

Exodus Choir "With Humble Spirit"
Exodus Choir explores music of the Italian Renaissance at St Elizabeth of Portugal, Richmond. Exodus is formed of the 10th cohort of the Genesis Sixteen programme, and enjoys performing concerts around the UK.
Fireworks Music by Candlelight
Join St Martin-in-the-Fields Choral Scholars, together with the HeartEdge Manchester Choral Scholars, for a spectacular performance of music by Haydn and Handel. The programme brings together Handel’s effervescent Fireworks Music, with one of Joseph Haydn’s most powerful works for choir and orchestra, the Nelson Mass.
Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra
Our concert of great classic will begin with Olivia Tait conducting the overture to Mozart’s Magic Flute and will conclude with Beethoven’s iconic Pastoral Symphony. Conductor Chris Stark will offer illuminating insights into this beloved piece through commentary and excerpts.
We are also thrilled to present the runner up in last season’s ERSO Soloist of the Year, Adam Cubitt. Adam is a hugely talented young cellist who will perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C.

In this hour-long programme, St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Choir and St Martin’s Chamber Ensemble explore the timeless elegance of works by Mozart, including the choral masterpiece Vesperae solennes de confessore and the iconic instrumental suite Eine kleine Nachtmusik.
Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti at Grimeborn Festival
In a seemingly utopian suburbia, Sam and Dinah are unhappily married. Both escape from their dysfunctional home scene through work, the gym and going to the movies. However, with their young son Junior in the house, both are forced to address their growing isolation for the good of the family. In this production of Trouble in Tahiti, dancers will physically represent the jazz trio who play the role of the Greek chorus in Bernstein’s short satire of the American dream.

Moonlight Sonata by Candlelight

Exodus is an exceptional chamber choir that emerged in 2022 from their participation in The Sixteen’s Genesis Sixteen programme. Led by the accomplished young conductor Olivia Tait, the choir comprises talented singers with diverse backgrounds united by their love for choral music. Known for their captivating performances, Exodus ventures beyond the familiar repertoire, actively championing lesser-known works, especially those by female composers. Purcell Dido and Aeneas by Candlelight
Join St Martin’s Voices for a concert performance of this early gem of opera in English, portraying the ill-fated romance of tragic Queen Dido and Trojan hero Aeneas. The wonderfully varied Baroque score by Henry Purcell features pastoral idylls, cackling witches and lusty sailors, alongside scenes of poignant tragedy and immense beauty.
